Avery’s Creek Elementary School’s (ACES) fourth-grade honors choir had a very special opportunity to perform like professionals this Holiday season.
The young performers took to the big stage at the Flat Rock Playhouse in Henderson County, as they sang in the production ‘A Flat Rock Playhouse Christmas’. This show is filled with talented singers, dancers, and actors. Performers of all ages bring the Holiday season to life for audiences. ACES singers experienced firsthand what it’s like under the big lights.
“For students to grow as musicians they need to have meaningful musical experiences where they can share their accomplishments with others,” said Music Specialist Melody McGarrahan. “This strengthens their self-confidence, musical growth, and motivation to try other music opportunities. I was incredibly proud of my students as I watched them perform with some big-name acts. I would love to continue this wonderful partnership for years to come.”
There’s still time to see the show as performances are taking place December 19 - 21. For more information about the Flat Rock Playhouse, or to purchase tickets visit https://www.flatrockplayhouse.org/
