Meet the Teacher
   Patience Seigler

Hello/Hola and Welcome/Bienvenido to my teacher page! My name is Ms. Seigler
and I am a proud to be an ACES Kindergarten Teacher. I have taught at ACES for the past
13 years. My first 9 years at ACES I taught 2nd grade. Then at the beginning of
2014/2015 school year, I had the opportunity to move grade levels to Kindergarten.
Although I enjoyed my time in 2nd grade I was excited for the opportunity the to teach
students who are just embarking on their school journey.
I started my endeavor in higher academics at St. Petersburg Junior College in St.
Petersburg, Florida. It was here I earned my Associates Degree and graduated with
highest honors. Then I transferred to the University of South Florida's Education
Program as a Junior and received a Bachelor's of Science In Elementary Education,
graduating Magna Cum Laude, meaning "with great distinction".

On July 4, 2005 I moved to Asheville and began my teaching career here at Avery's
Creek Elementary. As I am always looking for ways to improve my teaching practices in
2012 I earned my National Board Certification in the certificate area Literacy: Reading-
Language Arts/Early and Middle Childhood. On May 10, 2013 I completed my Masters
in Arts in Elementary Education degree at Western Carolina University.

I believe teaching is my calling, my passion in life. It is humbling to know that the
lessons I teach will remain with my students for the rest of their lives.
