Meet the Teacher
My name is Ms. Seigler and I have taught at ACES for the past 12  years. My first 10 years at ACES I taught 2nd grade. Then for the 2014/2015 school year I moved grade levels to kindergarten. Although I was sad to leave 2nd grade I was excited for the opportunity the to teach students who are just embarking on their school journey. 

I started my academic endeavors  at St. Petersburg Junior College in St. Petersburg, Florida. It was here I earned my Associates Degree and graduated with highest honors. Then I transferred to the University of South Florida's Education Program as a Junior and received a Bachelor's of Science In Elementary Education, graduating Magna Cum Laude, meaning "with great distinction".  

On July 4, 2005 I moved to Asheville and and secured a position teaching 2nd grade here at Avery's Creek Elementary. Always looking for ways to improve my teaching practices in 2012 I earned my National Board Certification in the certificate area Literacy: Reading- Language Arts/Early and Middle Childhood. The following year in May 2013 through Western Carolina University I earned my Masters in Arts in Elementary Education. 
I believe teaching is my calling, my passion in life. It is humbling to know that the lessons I teach will remain with my students for the rest of their lives.
