Meet the 4th grade Dual Language Teacher

4th grade, Dual Language Teacher

I was born and raised in Spain, in a beautiful city called Málaga, located in the South by the coast. I received my Bachelor´s Degree in Education in Spain in 2001. I have worked as a Kindergarten teacher and an Elementary School teacher for the last seventeen years.
I have developed and implemented programs and classes in Spain, UK and U.S. (California and Florida), in both public and private schools. I am passionate about bilingual and multicultural education and hence I have had the opportunity to work as a Dual Language Teacher and coordinate bilingual programs.
I was nominated for the “2016 Palm Beach County Hispanic Teacher of the Year” in Florida due to my initiatives in organizing cultural exchange activities and for my dedication to the Spanish language learning. I also have been awarded for developing projects about “Global Education” in Spain.

In addition, I have experience giving conferences at universities, Global Congresses and Teacher Training Centers in Spain.

As a nature lover, I am a member of the Association for animal welfare and stray cats and dogs. In my free time, I enjoy writing stories for young readers. Therefore, last year I decided to publish my first book as an author for children in Spanish: “El sueño de Magalí” (Magali´sdream). The book promotes respect for others and environment values.

I am so excited to be part of Avery´s Creek Elementary School this year. I am the 4th grade Dual Language teacher. I know this year is going to be a fun learning adventure. It is my goal to provide all my students with an educationally challenging and fun experience in my classroom.
